Extended family sessions are always fun…you get to lear a bit about a family dynamic, see families be themselves, and most of all get a LOT of photos. I like to mix sessions, so I get a little bit of everything. One of my favorite things is when a family chooses an amazing spot…something off the beaten path. One of best things about taking a scenic drive and taking photos in a beautiful location is that it gets people out of their zone, out of traditional photography and brings a realizing beauty and wonder to the little faces. This is hard to do with lots of schedules and people to coordinate, but this group made it happen, and I’m so glad they did. This trail is one of my absolute favorites in Tucson. Not only that but they coordinated ever so perfectly, with an amazing mix of prints and colors. YES. Not only that but they are ALL incredibly photogenic. And I mean ALL of them. The two little granddaughters took the cake however. Their names? Penelope and Augury. I can’t. I just can’t. You’ll see what I mean… Braids & Bannings: you were so sweet, so fun and SO WELL DRESSED. Hope to see you all again soon.

Thompasson Family Holiday Sesseion

This FACE! I first met this sweet baby girl at her newborn shoot, when she was teeny tiny and under weight…my how the times have changed. She is the sweetest, chunkiest, happiest baby and I had a blast at her shoot. For this family session we met at a pecan grove here in Tucson, just as the leaves had begun to yellow. The mama, Jackie (with the most amazing head of hair you have EVER seen!), did an amazing job styling these three and it was just so hard to pick out my favorites. Enjoy looking!

Borland Holiday Shoot

What started as a clammily of mishaps….turned into one of the cutest shoots with some of my favorite people. Isn’t that the way? In the fall Graham and I packed up and headed over to Austin, TX to explore a little Texas hospitality and visit my adorable nephews! Of couse no visit with the McDonnell’s is complete without a photo-shoot. After much debate in locations we settled on a park that was walking distance from their house- which made things easy for the boys. With the gorgeous open landscape, tall yellow grasses and beautiful trees, this park provided a great backdrop to this beautiful family. I brought Graham along with me…which provided a mix of both laughing and crying. The shots from this shoot are some of my favorites ever. These four are so kind, loving and full of life- such a fun combo to photograph! Enjoy! Happy Holidays!
