Trust me when I tell you, this was the COLDEST engagement session I have ever done. It was also one of the funnest, and just in time for Valentine’s Day! Chicago in February however, is ice cold. This amazing couple, who will be getting married in Tucson this fall, were serious troopers. It was 18 degrees, and getting colder by the second when we started the shoot. For their winter session, the birde, Katie, decided to have a hot-chocolate themed shoot, in addition to getting a few quintessential downtown Chicago shots. This is one of my very favorite session, because it was just so personal. Everything about the session felt like a nod to the two of them. First off, they both work in finance, in downtown Chicago, so the start of this session really summed that up. Next, the couple did a quick change, and poured some hot chocolate into the mugs they use daily at home, using the birdes Dad’s vintage Thermos. The couple brought a very southwest Pendleton blanket to keep them warm however, which was graphically perfection. Enjoy more below…
Katie & Cale, I had such a fin time with you guys! Congratulations- and I can not wait to see how your wedding turns out this fall! HUGS!
