Kelly and Danny: Engaged

This was one of my favorite shoots of all time.  This couple is gorgeous  the setting was incredible, but most of all the couple was truly fantastic. Danny, if probally on of my favorite people to photograph. He is the most easy going guy I have ever photographed. He will do anything we ask! And his gorgeous bride to be? Don’t get me started.

Kelly and Danny are getting married this fall at a gorgeous vineyard in Northern California (jealous!!) and I can not wait for the big day.  For their engagement shoot, we first took some shots in the morning in downtown Tucson. We even made a quick pit stop at the train station and got some great and romantic shots. Later that afternoon, we took a drive south of Tucson, to Patagonia and Sonoita to get some incredibly romantic, fall inspired shots.

These doors at the train station are so beautiful.

L.O.V.E.

This was a sweet moment. I love the embrace.

Gorgeous, no?

I really like this shot of Danny. He is so sweet.

After walking around downtown Tucson, we headed over to the Train Station by Maynards Market. If features a vintage train that is absolutely beautiful.

This couple truly has an old world charm. You could swear that they were out of a movie in 1920…classic.

I adore this next image!

I love how this groom to be poped up out of his seat to kiss his girl…

After this morning shoot, we went home for naps (let’s face it, I was pregnant at the time, so I needed one!) and then met later to travel down to Patagonia and Sonoita (about an hour drive south of Tucson).

We Stopped first for a casual rustic shoot, then went to Sonoita for a romantic sunset, formal shoot. This setting was special to Danny because if reminded him of where he grew up.

So adorable!

This setting was a dream!

And now for the formals!

Obsessed with these next few!

It should be illegal to be this cute…

This is one of my faves!

Finally we popped a little champagne to get the celebration started!

This makes me so happy!

Ohhh the colors!!!

How adorable are these two!

Favorite image!

Thank you Kelly and Danny for such an amazing shoot! I can not WAIT for your wedding! EAK!

Charlotte at One!

Often I am asked by  clients to do follow up session from newborn photos at age One. I love doing this! For me, it is so fun to see how those tiny little infants grown up. When I met little Charlotte last year she was a 7 week old little chunk! Now she is all grown up and walking. And isn’t she still the cutest? The best part is, I know her personally too, so I have watched her grow up all year on Facebook (they live in Michigan). For our one year old shoot, we choose the Arizona Inn, which was a great backdrop for this little cutie.

Dont you just love this dress…!

Just spend a few minuets with Charlotte and you will learn how much she loves to climb!

Charlotte was so fixated on this leaf in the grass that we couldn’t get her to look at us- so I decided to take a few shots of her cute bow in the back…of course once we left and stopped trying to get her attention she wondered- “Hey where did they go?!”, and looked back at us. The photo turned out cute however:

Love this little side curl in her cute blonde hair.

Walking and moving!

More leaf play…

I love this little step in front of a suite at the Arizona Inn. It’s such a good spot for little ones.

(Side note: Charlottes Mom was standing right by her the whole time she was on this chair- don’t be nervous!)

Trying hard to get that smile…got a little more than we bargained for with that middle one!

A busy, busy girl- so much exploring to be done!

I think this next one is my favorite. I love this little face.

We had to play peak a-boo around this tree Charlotte was sitting in front of to get her to flash us that cute grin…

PEAK….

Love this last one with her cute tootsies.

Thank you Ashley and Charlotte for such a fun shoot! Happy Birthday little one!

Aleks & Adam: Engaged

Adam & Aleks: Engaged

It is a rare treat to find a couple that is so comfortable in front of the camera- and so affectionate. Aleks and Adam, are one of these treats. The Chicago dwelling couple met me this winter  at the very beautiful Royal Palms Hotel in Scottsdale, AZ to do thier engagement session. These two love birds met  at ASU in Phoenix, AZ – and decided that their wedding also be held in this sentimental place (stay tuned for their gorgeous wedding this fall!). In addition to being beautiful on the outside (aren’t these two adorable?!) Adam and Aleks are also beautiful on the inside, and their love for one another was easy to capture on camera.

I love this one of Aleks below…

I love the lighting we found on these next few…

I love all the beautiful architectural elements the Royal Palms has to offer.

Gorgeous!

I truly can not wait for this couples wedding!

Next, the couple and I headed over to some of Scottsdale’s beautiful rocky lookout points to finish up their shoot and watch an Arizona sunset.

I adore the next image….they are so cute!

I love this!

Congratulations again Adam and Aleks! I can not wait for October! Cheers!

Abby & Alan

Abby & Alan are the kind of couple that make you want to fall in love and get married. Their genuine personalities and fun spirits made our shoot one to remember. Abby, a midwife, and Alan, a pediatrician (how cute is that?!) flew all the way from the UK and tied the knot in a private court house elopement followed by a really fun shoot in the old Barrio district. Trust me when I say this couple was HILARIOUS, which made for some great shots.

Always a laugh with these two…

I loved this moment after they said ‘I Do’.

I managed to steal this moment below, when there thought I was switching lenses.

The architecture around here- is amazing.

After the ceremony, it was champagne time!

Trust me when I say, Alan is hilarious. He makes Abby laugh all the time…which is excellent when you are the photographer!

Aren’t they the cutest?!

I love this image below. It shows how incredibly in love and genuine these two are.

This was the best moment. We were in the middle of shooting, and all the sudden a motorcycle pack went by! So fun.

After our shoot, it was time to go over to El Charro where we got some more shots of these two.

I love this moment below.

Thank you Abby and Alan for a fun shoot! Enjoy, and congratulations!

The Clark Family

The Clark family is stylish. I truly mean ALWAYS stylin’. For their late summer family photo shoot, Stephanie decided to go with a nautical look and take pictures at the historic Arizona Inn. Little Gia was as cute as ever in her denim shoes and matching jumper. I love shoots like these!

I love these next few of Gia on the stairs…

For our shoot- Gia even got her little teeny tiny nails done. We of course had to capture this!

Ohhhh! This face!

Aren’t they the cutest?!

Check out these little curls….

I had to get one more of these shoes….

Thank you Clark family for a fun, and stylish shoot! I can’t wait for your holiday session next month!

The Mucha Family

Juanita and I met while we were both working at UMC hospital many years ago (talk about a carer change for me?!). We have kept in touch over the years as to what each of us are doing. When I found out Juanita was having a baby, I couldn’t wait to photograph him. I knew Juanita & Dave would be great parents- but I didn’t know they would be raising the happiest little guy you ever saw. Alexandar (or Xandar for short) was one of the easiest babies to photograph, because he is ALWAYS in a good mood (that or snoozing away)! Below are his 4 month old photos.

Look at this baby!? He is such a doll.

He has a special spot for his Mom….

A quick change before nap time…

Even happy when he sleeps!

Just looking at this makes me want to take a nap!

Going… going….GONE.

Juanita has great style (he house is adorable!) I knew that Alexandar would have all the cutest things too…check out these little shoes!!!

Thank you Mucha family for a great shoot!

Baby Mia: 6 Months

Mia Shirley is a doll. Truly the sweetest disposition of any baby. Plus, she is adorable! I recently photographed this ‘doll’ for her 6-month photo documentation. (Mia’s Mom has hired me to do a ‘First year in the life’ photo documentation of Mia’s entire first year of life). Mia’s Mom, Dad and big brother Max came along to help and watch, so we got a few of theses guys as well.

I just love this sweet little face, look how excited she is! The bows on the back of her dress, also had to be documented. I love details!

We managed to get a couple family photos, even though this shoot was all about Mia. Look forward to seeing this family again, when we do their holiday photo shoot this fall!

I just love this little back shot!

Mia and her mama.

Everything blooms in the desert when we finally get some rain! These bright cheerie flowers remind me of Mia!

I had to take a few of Mia’s big brother Max. What cute kids the Shirley’s have!

I love this last one! This will definitely make her album!

Thank you Shirley family!
